Located on a tight site, this well-established congregation was looking to expand and renovate their facility. A master plan was undertaking to determine the best course of action for a future project. The plan addressed existing infrastructure, expansion possibilities and budget concerns. With the help of the Master Plan, the church was able to identify priorities and move ahead with a project. This first phase consists of demolition, renovation and expansion. The main feature is a new weekday entry; spaces off the entry include: a relocated church office, larger gathering space, a kitchen and gymnasium. The gym will support the existing pre-school program, youth and adult activities and may eventually host the church’s contemporary worship service. The project also includes new Pastor’s offices, meeting rooms, much needed accessible restrooms, a dual door elevator (connecting five levels) and storage.
Project Manager: Involved with the project from inception; act as the principal contact with the client and contractor; lead the project team and performed construction administration tasks.
