A 45 story speculative office tower was developed by Tishman Speyer and located at 500 West Monroe Street in Chicago. The building features a ground level covered colonnade, stepped facade and corner tower element. The ground floor(s) contain lobby and retail spaces, followed by 12 levels of parking and 35 levels of office space. The structure is composed of a glass and stone curtain wall system hung on a concrete frame. The parking level structure is a precast concrete frame hidden behind the facade finishes. The lobby interior contains stone and marble accents and maple veneer walls.
As a staff Architect, provided both design and technical assistance during the design development and construction document phases of the project. Involved with the design and detailing of the curtain wall system and the building cap or ‘tower’ element. Also involved with the parking level and site details.
